About Our Authors

Andrew M. Eisenberg is a Partner at Jones Day in Washington, D.C. Eisenberg advises clients on a wide range of federal income tax issues related to corporate mergers and acquisitions. His practice includes taxable and tax-free stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions; post-acquisition restructurings; incorporation transactions; liquidating and non-liquidating distributions; application of the consolidated return regulations; and general tax consequences of transactions between shareholders and corporations. He is an adjunct professor of taxation at Georgetown University Law Center and teaches advanced corporate reorganizations.

Daniel M. Schneider is a Professor of law at Northern Illinois University College of Law and has visited at other law schools including Washington University, Iowa, Wisconsin, Florida State and New York Law School. He teaches a variety of courses in federal income tax, business tax and bankruptcy. He published a book, Taxation of Dividends and Corporate Distributions and co-authored another book, Federal Tax Aspects of Corporate Reorganizations.

Daniel C. White is a Partner at Bryan Cave LLP in St. Louis, Mo. His practice focuses primarily in corporate and partnership tax planning, including acquisitions, mergers, reorganizations, spin-offs and restructuring transactions. He also is an adjunct professor of law at Washington University School of Law where he teaches tax-free reorganizations, restructurings and spin-offs.
