The Future is Mobile: CCH Launches New Mobile Initiatives to User Conference Attendees

(SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, November 7, 2011) – CCH Connections, the 2011 CCH User Conference, opened today with Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting CEO Kevin Robert introducing CCH’s new mobile initiatives to conference attendees. The sold-out CCH User Conference, attended by over 1,200 tax, accounting and audit professionals, is taking place November 6-9 at the JW Marriott® San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa. “In serving tax, accounting and audit professionals, CCH is innovative in the application of new technologies, and we’re constantly challenging ourselves to find transformational ways of delivering value to you,” Robert told attendees. “Over the years, we’ve done that by pioneering such things as digitized workflows; the common client database offered with our next generation platform; and the ground breaking IntelliConnect platform, and there’s more to come.”

CCH is continuing to innovate around another technology – mobile – to drive new business value for tax, accounting and audit professionals.

CCH Connections attendees are the first to view CCH’s new mobile applications, and those under development.

Moving quickly to meet professionals’ growing mobility needs, Robert highlighted CCH Mobile and announced that CCH continues to build on that platform with its new mobile app, CCH Tax News Highlights. The new app, launched at the conference, is free and enables anyone to track the latest federal and state tax news on mobile devices, including the iPhone® and iPad® and Android™.

“Now, anyone can benefit immediately from accessing the most current federal and state tax news from CCH’s premier editorial content anytime and anywhere. And you don’t need to be a subscriber to IntelliConnect to get it. It’s there for everyone,” said Robert.

Robert also announced that by the end of this year, all IntelliConnect customers will have enriched access to IntelliConnect on an iPad – giving new meaning to the promise that IntelliConnect delivers faster answers and better results.

Additionally, CCH believes mobile devices will provide critical practice management information and tools for professionals going forward.

Robert highlighted CCH’s new ProSystem fx Practice Intelligence solution, which integrates with Practice Management data, and can be accessed via iPad, smartphone or any other browser-enabled slate device, making mobile management of a firm a reality today.

CCH’s ProSystem fx Practice Intelligence is a Business Discovery platform that bridges the gap between traditional business intelligence solutions and standalone office productivity applications. It forges new paths in drilling down to valuable firm data and reduces to just minutes a month the time it takes to deliver fast, accurate answers mapped out via on-screen dashboards to help firms chart their course for success.

“When the history of this point in time is written, the advent of mobile devices, both smartphones and tablets, will emerge as one of the most transformational technologies of this era,” Robert said. “ Mobile will enable you to reach new heights of client service and efficiency, leading to greater profitability for your firm.”

He noted that as a result of the significant investments CCH has made in recent years, CCH’s content and software platforms are already enabling rapid innovation and next generation capabilities.

“Rather than just patches to legacy platforms, we engineered new information, software and SaaS platforms from the ground up,” said Robert. “As a result, our agile platforms are built for change, social and business trends and emerging technologies – such as Mobile.”

Conference Attendees See CCH’s Commitment of Customer-driven Innovation

“When we say CCH believes in customer driven innovation, we mean it,” said Robert. “Our Innovation program initiatives span from employees, to customers, to our customers’ clients, and beyond, including business partners and other providers you work with. And we have one purpose: To create business value for you.”

As part of CCH’s commitment to customer-driven innovation, CCH Connections attendees got a first hand look at numerous Proofs of Concepts for new mobile applications CCH is developing for both IntelliConnect and the ProSystem fx Suite, and the opportunity to provide their immediate feedback and direction on the new apps.

Additionally, the conference featured a “Mobile MashUp” contest, where customers were invited to submit their ideas for a new application leveraging both content and software. The conference contest was an extension of the CCH Employee Bright Ideas program, which encourages employees to innovate around new technologies and process improvements.
