National Association of Computerized Tax Processors Elects CCH’s Joe Naughton to Chair Sales and Use Tax Committee, Board of Directors

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., October 13, 2011) – At its recent fall meeting in Phoenix, The National Association of Computerized Tax Processors (NACTP) elected CCH Senior Business Analyst Joe Naughton, CIA, CCSA, as the first chairperson of its new Sales & Use Tax Committee. The committee chair also has a seat on the NACTP Board of Directors. The goal of the NACTP Sales & Use Tax Committee is to increase taxpayer adoption of electronic filing by making it less complicated to implement, easier for a taxpayer to process and error free. The Committee also offers an opportunity for dialogue between taxing authorities and member companies regarding issues that concern both parties.

About Joe Naughton

In addition to serving as Senior Business Analyst for CCH’s sales tax group – developing projects supporting CorpSystem® Sales Tax Office, CorpSystem® Sales Tax Returns Online and other CCH sales and use tax products, Naughton is also Adjunct Assistant Professor of Accountancy at City University of New York – Baruch College. Naughton has been with CCH for more than 10 years. He earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Wichita State University and a MBA degree in International Business and Economics from City University of New York – Baruch College. He currently resides in the New York metropolitan area.
