CCH CorpSystem Sales Tax Office Version 3 Enhances Exemption Management
(RIVERWOODS, ILL., April 26, 2010) – New capabilities in managing exemptions both for customers and for procurement are among the enhancements available in CorpSystem® Sales Tax Office Version 3.0 from CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business, the global leading provider of tax, accounting and audit information, software and services (CCHGroup.com). CCH announced the new release at Microsoft’s Convergence 2010 conference in Atlanta on April 24.
“The enhancements and refinements in this new version of Sales Tax Office confirm that CCH is delivering on its goal to produce the most innovative, best-of-breed solutions in the marketplace,” said Bruce Krumlauf, CCH Sales and Use Tax Product Manager.
New Customer Exemption Management Functionality
With a built-in Customer Exemption Management module, users can now manage customer exemption certificate information directly in Sales Tax Office. Exemption information can be exchanged between Sales Tax Office, the company’s ERP or any third party Exemption Certificate Management system via web services.
“With Sales Tax Office, there’s also no need to maintain multiple customer records when the customer’s exempt status varies from state to state,” Krumlauf said. “This makes exemption management exceptionally efficient.”
Sales Tax Office also now supports custom exemptions for procurement. These include both conditional and partial exemptions and the ability to allocate which percentage of a purchase is exempt and which is taxable based on conditional logic.
In addition to these enhancements:
- The Look-up function now includes a combined rate;
- The Locations function now supports location-based filing requirements;
- The sourcing algorithm has been enhanced; and
- The 3000 line item per invoice limit for web service transactions has been eliminated.
