CCH Integrates ProSystem fx® Tax, TaxScripts® TaxPro for Speedier, Smoother IRS Transcript Requests and Quick Quality Assurance

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., September 21, 2009) – A fast path to obtaining client documents from the Internal Revenue Service has now become even faster with the integration between CCH ProSystem fx® Tax and TaxScripts® TaxPro. CCH has partnered with TaxScripts, Inc. to bring practitioners TaxScripts TaxPro, the electronic solution to obtaining IRS transcripts and submitting Disclosure Authorizations quickly. TaxScripts TaxPro gathers personal profile data just once. Then, for each request, users simply follow on-screen prompts to create Disclosure Authorizations and transcript requests, including details such as the types of information sought and tax years at issue.

Easily Transfer Client Data

Now ProSystem fx users can save additional time because they can easily transfer client data from ProSystem fx Tax directly into TaxScripts TaxPro. This minimizes the chance for error and speeds the process with i nstant, automated client data input and built-in quality control.

In ProSystem fx Tax, users simply select “Export/TaxScripts” in the file menu. Client data, such as adjusted gross income and date of birth, is copied directly from a client’s ProSystem fx Tax return to auto-populate TaxScripts TaxPro request windows. Users then submit the request without having to re-enter the information.

With a click, TaxScripts TaxPro uploads the request to the IRS, automatically downloads the data and sends it to the user’s printer.

TaxScripts TaxPro works with the IRS e-Services tool to speed up the process and make it easier for the practitioner.
