CCH Introduces Latest Version of Award-winning ProSystem fx Document with E-mail Management
(PALM DESERT, CALIF., October 27, 2008) – CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business and a leading provider of tax, accounting and audit information, software and services, has released the latest version of its Email Management Module for ProSystem fx Document, its award-winning document management system for accounting firms (CCHGroup.com). The announcement was made to more than 1,000 attendees at the CCH User Conference in Palm Desert, Calif.
“As firms continue to advance their paperless strategies, they need document management solutions that can manage across all their documents, making it easier and safer to share, collaborate and store information,” said CCH Product Manager for Workflow Solutions Mark Ryburn. “ProSystem fx Document e-mail management functionality takes document management to the next level, making it easier for firms to manage e-mail across their organization as part of an integrated document management strategy.”
Since first being introduced at the 2007 CCH User Conference, ProSystem fx Document’s e-mail management functionality was awarded the esteemed Tax and Accounting Technology Innovation Award by The CPA Technology Advisor.
This latest version brings the ability to easily drag-and-drop e-mail attachments from Microsoft® Outlook or desktop computer files directly into ProSystem fx Document as well as to drag-and-drop files stored in ProSystem fx Document to a computer desktop. Using ProSystem fx Document’s enhanced search functions allow users to quickly find the information they’re looking for.
With ProSystem fx Document’s custom Client Navigation Pane within Microsoft Outlook providing a seamless interface with ProSystem fx Document, users can easily move information between the two applications. Additionally, users can now simultaneously view and access Outlook e-mail and Document files using Document’s new split-window view within Outlook.
Supporting Document Retention and Disaster Recovery
In addition to improving collaboration and productivity, ProSystem fx Document also helps protect a firm’s valuable documents and keep the firm in compliance. Its powerful management functions ensure that e-mails are subject to firm-wide document storage and retention rules, providing risk mitigation and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements. ProSystem fx Document also supports a firm’s disaster recovery program.
“Keeping track of e-mail is one of the most difficult document challenges. ProSystem fx Document solves this by making them visible to document retention policies so firms don’t need to worry about important e-mail being lost or misplaced on their networks or local computers,” said Ryburn.
