CCH’s Tax and Accounting Products Honored as Software & Information
Industry Association Award Finalists
CCH’s Market-leading Solutions Selected From Over 1,000 Products
(RIVERWOODS, ILL., January
24, 2006) – CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business and a leading provider of tax
and accounting information, software and services (tax.cchgroup.com), is
pleased to announce that two CCH products have been selected as finalists
in the prestigious 2006 Software & Information Industry Association
Codie Awards.
“It’s extremely gratifying to be recognized by our peers
in the information and software industry for the qualities that distinguish
our products as leaders in the market,” said CCH CEO Kevin Robert. “Our
customers recognize that CCH is the premier provider of best-of-breed tax
and accounting solutions, and view us as a trusted strategic partner in
building business success. It’s exciting that our peers in the industry
have once again recognized CCH’s leadership by honoring us as a finalist
in two categories.”
The CCH products selected as finalists in the annual
awards contest recognizing excellence and innovation in information and
software products and applications are:
- CCH
Internet Tax Research NetWork:
The industry’s most authoritative, comprehensive online tax research
information service, CCH Internet Tax Research NetWork (TRN)
is a finalist in Best Vertical Market Business Content Solution. CCH Tax
Research NetWork seamlessly integrates with CCH’s ProSystem fx tax
compliance software to provide one-stop workflow solutions for tax
and accounting professionals. CCH’s Tax Research NetWork also
features the unique CCH@Hand desktop that speeds and integrates tax
research with the workflows of accountants, tax preparers and lawyers
and permits simultaneous searching of the Tax Research NetWork on the
web and users’ desktops.
- CCH
ProSystem fx® Document: ProSystem fx Document, a finalist for Best Document Management Solution, is
a complete document management solution built specifically for today's
CPA firm. It frees firm staff members from dependence on physical pieces
of paper, allowing access to any document from any location. It enables
streamlined workflows and lower costs for storing documents. In addition,
it automates document retention and enables consistent firm-wide retention
policies.
“Our vision is to provide professionals with a single,
trusted source of best-of-breed integrated solutions that align with their
business and workflow requirements,” said Robert. “CCH Tax Research
NetWork and ProSystem fx Document are outstanding examples
of how we have achieved this by partnering closely with our customers to
understand how they work and what they need, and then building solutions
to make them more efficient, productive and successful.”
The CCH product finalists were selected from more than
1,026 nominations submitted by over 500 companies—a record number of nominations
received for these awards, the “Oscars of the Software Industry.”
“We founded the Codie Awards 21 years ago so that the
pioneers of the then-nascent software industry could evaluate and honor
each other’s work,” said Ken Wasch, SIIA President. “The Codies have grown
along with the markets it represents, and today competition is fiercer
than ever. That makes selection as a Codie finalist a true achievement,
and all the companies on this year’s list should feel justifiably proud
of their recognition.”
The Codie Awards program holds the distinction of being
the only peer-recognition awards program of its kind in the industry, providing
a unique opportunity for companies to earn the praise of their competitors.
The program remains the standard-bearer for celebrating outstanding achievement
and vision in the software, digital content and education technology industries.
The Software & Information Industry Association
is the principal trade association for the software and digital content
industry.
