NEHRA Members Gain Free Access to CCH’s HR LegiStateTM

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., July 11, 2005) – Members of the Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA) now have an easy way to keep up with the latest developments in state employment law thanks to a partnership between NEHRA and CCH INCORPORATED (CCH), a leading provider of human resources information and software (hr.cch.com).

As one of their benefits, NEHRA members have free access to a special, six-state version of CCH’s HR LegiStateTM information service. HR LegiState is a web-based single source for federal and state employment law summaries, allowing users to go directly to the summaries they need by choosing the jurisdiction and topic.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer our members access to this CCH service from our web site,” said Joan Bowen, executive director of NEHRA. “Members can check the state employment law of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont, and easily compare how different states handle various issues. It’s also easy to evaluate your organization’s policies and practices for compliance with state law.”

“CCH is pleased that through this partnership, we’re able to give NEHRA members up-to-date, authoritative information,” said Kristen Kaplan, product manager for CCH. “Through HR LegiState, NEHRA members can be aware of developments that can affect their organizations in time to take action and ensure compliance. For example, they were alerted in June about the requirements for health insurance coverage in Maine that take effect this October.”

HR LegiState’s federal and state employment law summaries are prepared by CCH’s attorneys who specialize in labor and employment law. Content is updated as the law changes, so NEHRA members receive the most current information, with no maintenance required on their parts.

Availability and Pricing

For more information or to order HR LegiState, call 1-800-449-9525 or visit the CCH online store at hr.cch.com/onlinestore. An annual online subscription to HR LegiState All States is $519 and HR LegiState 3 States is $208.
