IPO Vital Signs from CCH Provides Unique Access to IPO Answers
(RIVERWOODS, ILL., April 7, 2005) – Now there’s a new and easy way for IPO professionals and pre-IPO companies to satisfy their most challenging research needs and answer hundreds of mission critical questions. IPO Vital Signs from CCH INCORPORATED (CCH), a leading provider of securities information and software, is a unique Internet-based subscription service for all the players in the IPO process (business.cch.com).
IPO Vital Signs captures over 200 data elements from every new significant IPO registered with the SEC to produce the IPO Vital Signs database. Using its own expertise and insights gained from other IPO professionals, the creators of IPO Vital Signs have formulated over 180 predefined searches – the Vital Signs – that compile that detailed data into easy-to-understand tables, providing quick answers to the questions most commonly asked by IPO practitioners.
Pre-defined Searches, Tabular Formats
“This is an easy-to-use product that gets at the heart of information that professionals need,” explained John Stricklett, product manager for CCH. “We've pre-defined searches for the end user and provide the information in tabular formats that allow for instant comparisons and sorting.”
Using IPO Vital Signs, executives of pre-IPO companies can evaluate and select IPO underwriters, law firms, audit firms and other professionals; negotiate IPO deal terms; prepare their IPO plan; estimate the costs of going public; and manage the IPO process. With their subscription, professionals have access to unbiased, accurate, up-to-date leadership rankings of firms providing IPO services. Subscribers can also easily find IPOs of firms with similar-sized offerings, firms in the same industry and so on.
In addition, IPO professionals can use IPO Vital Signs to market their firms, advise IPO clients, negotiate deals and even draft the prospectus.
“The ability to instantly sort through IPOs by industry type, size of offer, fees paid and scores of other criteria, makes it easy for IPO Vital Signs subscribers to zero in on data that’s directly relevant to their interests, then make comparisons and even retrieve the actual language of a prospectus or other filing,” Stricklett noted.
IPOs dating back to 1998 are included in IPO Vital Signs, and searches can be scoped by date. Subscribers receive the IPO Week in Review newsletter by e-mail and have access to updated IPO market news, including filings, offerings, withdrawals and aftermarket results.
