New Master Medicare Guide from CCH Provides Quick Answers
(RIVERWOODS, ILL., March 9, 2005) – CCH INCORPORATED (CCH), a leading provider of health care law information and software, has published the 2005 Master Medicare Guide, the first annual edition of a single-volume, convenient reference on a complete range of issues for Medicare providers and others who need quick, authoritative answers to Medicare questions. (790 pages, $119.)
Topics covered in the Guide include Medicare Part A, Part B, Part C and Part D coverage, financing and administration, provider agreements, exclusions from coverage, Medicare reimbursements, appeals, compliance and cost reports. Four appendices cover final rules, a provider-specific index, abbreviations and a cross reference between the Social Security Act and the U.S. Code.
“Like other entries in the Master Guide series, the Master Medicare Guide is designed to be the front-line manual for professionals in the field – the first, and usually the last, place they need to look for a quick answer to any Medicare question,” said Angela Darrow, product manager for CCH.
Provider-specific Organization
The organization of the Master Medicare Guide is provider-specific to help readers easily locate relevant areas of discussion. The Guide’s explanations have been thoroughly researched and footnoted to provide the most accurate and legally-sound guidance to help readers understand, apply and comply with today’s complex reimbursement rules.
This convenient desk reference also includes time-saving features such as a “quick facts” card covering demographic figures related to the Medicare program, a 2004 “year in review,” examples, tips and best practices.
“In addition to full-time Medicare professionals, the Guide can be used to train newcomers to reimbursement and many others who occasionally need quick answers to Medicare questions, such as CEOs, CFOs, billing departments, libraries and head RNs,” Darrow noted. “In addition, large systems and consulting firms may order several copies of this Guide to assist them in training and due diligence in making sure their staff has a reliable source to access.”
