CCH Enhances, Expands Health Care Compliance Reporter
(RIVERWOODS, ILL., February 15, 2005) – CCH INCORPORATED (CCH), a leading provider of health care law information and software, has enlarged, enhanced and reorganized its industry-leading CCH Health Care Compliance Reporter, making the online health care compliance resource more useful and accessible than ever before.
The CCH Health Care Compliance Reporter is a definitive repository of the full text of all health care compliance-related laws, regulations, cases and advisory opinions on the federal level and for all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. It provides full coverage of Medicare and Medicaid Anti-Fraud and Abuse Amendments, Stark I and II, the False Claims Act and more.
Reorganized for Easy Use, with Expanded Content
The content of the Reporter has been reorganized by document type, such as Federal Laws and Regulations, Administrative Decisions and OIG documents, as well as by the major government agencies affecting compliance initiatives, for easy use by both health care attorneys and compliance officers.
Cases are organized by topic and jurisdiction. Users can use this organization to quickly drill down to specific documents or to focus their searches. Users can also directly access information by CCH paragraph number and by official citation.
Content has also been significantly expanded. Documents added include Departmental Appeals Board Decisions; selected C.F.R. titles, EEOC Decisions, NLRB Decisions; public laws including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Medicare Prescription Drug and Improvement Act, Administrative Simplification Compliance Act of 2001 among others and several U.S.C. titles in their entirety — such as Titles 5, 10, 29, 42 and more. In addition, more than 6,000 cases have been added to the Reporter’s coverage.
As an additional benefit, subscribers have linking capabilities to the full text of cases and primary law materials from the citations, in other documents in the Reporter and in the four treatises that are also offered by CCH: Hospital Law Manual, Hospital Contracts Manual, Defending and Preventing Health Care Fraud Cases and Civil False Claims and Qui Tam Actions.
“These enhancements are the result of listening to our customers and making changes to better meet their needs,” said Angela Darrow, product manager for CCH. “We’ve added content, made it easier for people to target the kind of documents they’re looking for and to follow links to ensure their research is complete.”
