CCH INCORPORATED to Provide IRS with Comprehensive Tax Research Information
CCH Teams with LexisNexis to Serve Federal Tax Agency Needs(RIVERWOODS, ILL., December 10, 2003) – CCH INCORPORATED (CCH), a leading provider of tax law information and software and a Wolters Kluwer company, will play a key role in providing comprehensive, electronic research tax materials to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the company announced today. Under a recently awarded contract, a wide range of CCH tax content will be available to the IRS through the Internet and on CD-ROM. The information will appear on IRS desktops and laptops performing tax research, as the IRS enhances employee access to electronic tax research information and seeks to provide consistent, standardized research materials to all IRS employees.
"CCH has supplied the IRS with tax law information for many decades, including electronic research information for over 10 years," noted CCH’s Tax and Accounting President Kevin Robert. "Now, we’re pleased to provide even more of CCH’s authoritative services to IRS personnel. At the same time, tax practitioners who rely on CCH products will be pleased to know that they are reading off the same page as IRS staff."
CCH’s content was selected as a source of tax information as part of a contract award made to LexisNexis under the IRS' Service-wide Electronic Research Program.

For CCH, The Focus is on Content
Thousands of IRS employees across the organization will have access to CCH analytical and source-document material via the Internet or CCH CD-ROM through the LexisNexis contract. This information will include CCH’s core federal tax information, such as the CCH Standard Federal Tax Reporter, Federal Tax Service, CCH Estate and Gift Tax Reporter and CCH U.S. Master Tax Guide. CCH materials on new tax legislation, exempt organizations, tax treaties, pension, payroll, S corporations, state tax, partnership tax, employee benefits, unemployment insurance and more also are provided. Additionally, a wide range of CCH journals and newsletters, including CCH’s customizable daily e-mail tax news service Tax Tracker News, are included in the tax law information CCH will deliver.
CCH also will provide to IRS personnel through LexisNexis a standalone CD-ROM containing the country’s most popular professional tax reference, the CCH U.S. Master Tax Guide.
