Gene Landoe, Current CCH-LIS
CEO and CCH Veteran,
to Serve as Interim CEO as Executive Search Begins
(New York, NY -- January 13, 2003) -
CCH INCORPORATED Chief Executive Officer Rebecca Hensley has tendered
her resignation as CEO and president to focus on her family and
personal life. The board of Wolters Kluwer, the Dutch-based
information services company which owns and operates CCH INCORPORATED
under its Legal, Tax and Business North America (LTB NA) division, has
accepted Hensley’s resignation. Today’s announcement was made by
Christopher Cartwright, CEO and president of LTB NA.
Headquartered in Riverwoods, Ill., CCH
INCORPORATED was founded in 1913 and has served four generations of
business professionals and their clients. The company produces more
than 700 electronic and print products for the tax, legal, securities,
insurance, human resources, health care and small business markets. It
is the largest operating unit of Wolters Kluwer nv.
Gene Landoe, a LTB NA management
veteran and CEO of the CCH Legal Information Services company, will
serve as interim CEO while an executive search is conducted. In both
capacities, Landoe reports directly to Cartwright. During this period,
the executive team of CCH INCORPORATED will work closely with Landoe.
Over his 30-year career with CCH, Landoe has held several key
positions including vice president of customer service and operations
at CCH INCORPORATED, and director of planning within the CCH editorial
organization.
Prior to being named president of CCH
in July 1999, Hensley was publisher of CCH’s Federal and State Tax
unit. The Federal and State Tax business unit’s portfolio includes
the CCH flagship Standard Federal Tax Reporter and more than 150
products covering federal, state, and international taxation. She
joined CCH in 1994 as director of the CCH Editorial Resource Center,
where she was responsible for the company’s content quality,
