CCH Tax Compliance, Knowledge Concepts Form Strategic Partnership

(TORRANCE, CA., October 16, 2002) – CCH Tax Compliance has announced completion of a partnership agreement with Knowledge Concepts, Inc. under which the companies will form a strategic marketing alliance.

CCH Tax Compliance is a leading supplier of software for tax and accounting professionals. It offers The ProSystem fx® Office, a powerful, integrated suite that includes modules for tax compliance, tax planning, trial balance, fixed assets, practice management, paperless tax and audit engagements and web site development.

Knowledge Concepts is the developer of FirmWorks software, which provides sales force automation, customer relationship management and process automation functionality for accounting firms.

With this partnership, Knowledge Concepts will recommend ProSystem fx® Practice as their preferred practice management software, while CCH Tax Compliance will focus on lead generation and sharing, co-sponsored direct mailings and cross-advertising to ProSystem fx Practice customers, as well as provide a link from the ProSystem fx web site to the Knowledge Concepts site.

FirmWorks is a browser-based application that allows firms to leverage their investment in ProSystem fx Practice, helping the professional better manage their practice in a paperless environment. ProSystem fx Practice data can be automatically integrated with FirmWorks, reducing the need to maintain multiple databases.

FirmWorks provides a single access point for all of the firm's information and also offers a strong client relationship management component.

In addition to strong time and billing features and comprehensive project tracking capabilities, ProSystem fx Practice is integrated with ProSystem fx Tax to allow seamless tracking of time and invoice charges related to tax preparation.
