Ian Alexander Appointed President Of KNOWLEDGEPOINT
Alexander Succeeds Founder Michael Troy
PETALUMA, CALIF., March 16, 2001 KnowledgePoint, a leading
developer of human resources management services and software, announced today that Ian
Alexander, current vice president of marketing, has been named president of
KnowledgePoint, effective March 30, 2001. Alexander succeeds Michael Troy, who founded the
company in 1987 and guided the innovative software company through a period of substantial
growth and its first year of ownership under CCH INCORPORATED.
"During the seven years I have worked with Ian, he has been instrumental to
KnowledgePoints growth and profitability," said Troy. "I have every
confidence that, under his leadership, KnowledgePoint will continue to achieve its goals

Alexander joined KnowledgePoint in 1993 and led the shift in the companys focus
from small business to corporate markets. He also championed the companys move to
the Internet through the creation of its online business center, HRTools.com.

Prior to joining KnowledgePoint, Alexander held marketing positions at Birkenstock and
American Express Insurance and Investment Group. He is an award-winning copywriter,
published songwriter and holds a B.A. degree in Communications from Sonoma State
University.
