Wolters Kluwer North America Appoints Vice President Of Business Development
(CHICAGO, ILL., January 12, 2001) Wolters Kluwer
North America announced today that Martin Bush has been named to the newly created
position of vice president, business development. Bush was formerly publisher, Small
Office/Home Office (SOHO) Group, at CCH INCORPORATED (CCH), a Wolters Kluwer (WK) company.
Bush, an attorney and CPA, has extensive experience in developing Internet based
products and e-commerce applications for professional and business-to-business markets.
Most recently, he led the team that developed CCH Business Owners Toolkit (www.toolkit.cch.com), the SOHO units
successful core product and one of the first specialized Internet portals developed for
small business owners. In addition, hes been instrumental in the development and
evolution of WKs online strategies as well as CCHs e-commerce activities.
In his new position, Bush will be identifying and developing opportunities for
expanding and investing in WKs Internet initiatives for the North American tax and
accounting market.
Hell be responsible for developing partnerships and alliances with other content
and service providers, identifying acquisition opportunities and implementing long term
strategic planning. Tax and accounting professionals depend on WK companies
including CCH INCORPORATED, Aspen Publishers and CCH Canadian for authoritative,
timely and comprehensive research products, specialized analysis software and services.
Prior to his position as SOHO publisher, Bush managed the development of CCHs
expert software for tax and accounting professionals and served as an executive editor in
the companys Federal Tax Reporting and Tax Practice Systems group. Previously, Bush
held tax consulting and supervisory positions with Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association
and Coopers & Lybrand.
Bush, a resident of Buffalo Grove, Ill., holds a masters degree in management
from J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, a juris
doctor from DePaul University and a bachelor of science degree from Indiana University.
