CCH INCORPORATED, LEXIS-NEXIS
Group Team To Create Web Collection Of Tax, Legal Materials
CCH Series To Be Available on
Lexis-Nexis Web Platforms
DAYTON, OH and CHICAGO, December 20, 2000 -- Lexis-Nexis Group
and CCH INCORPORATED (CCH) announced today that the companies have signed a long-term
agreement to bring CCHs most authoritative collection of tax, securities, financial
services, human resources, health care and other specialized legal information to
Lexis-Nexis subscribers via the World Wide Web.
An extensive line of CCH titles will become part of the legal and tax
collection on the lexis.com® web-based subscription
research service. With this new agreement in place, Lexis-Nexis will be the only source
other than CCH to offer the full line of key CCH products via the Web. CCH research,
explanatory and analytical products available via lexis.com will include its highly
regarded Standard Federal Tax Reporter, CCH State Tax Reporters, CCH Federal Tax
Guide, CCH Pension Plan Guide, CCH Federal Securities Law Reports, CCH Trade
Regulation Reports, CCH Federal Banking Law Reports, and CCH Medicare and Medicaid
Guide. CCH publications are already available on the dial-up Lexis-Nexis®
information services and the companies currently partner to bring tax law research tools
to the Internal Revenue Service.
"The addition of the highly authoritative CCH publications makes the lexis.com
collection the most comprehensive available today for legal professionals," said Lou
Andreozzi, president and chief executive officer of North American Legal Markets for
Lexis-Nexis. "The combination of Lexis-Nexis legal materials with CCH titles now
establishes lexis.com as one of the most comprehensive sources for tax
professionals as well. In addition to such highly recognized brand names as The
Standard Federal Tax Reporter, lexis.com subscribers have
access to CCH publications on securities, human resources and health care on our dial-up
and Web delivery platforms."
"CCH has a successful history of partnering with Lexis-Nexis because both
companies are focused on meeting the needs of customers who require the most accurate and
timely information delivered in the most convenient and effective way," said Rebecca
Hensley, president and CEO, CCH. "This new agreement brings an extensive range of
core CCH products to lexis.com, making it the only web-based information service
outside CCH to carry such an extensive selection of CCH resources."
The CCH materials will be available on lexis.com April 1.
The CCH publications complement the more than 200 analytical treatises from the Matthew
BenderÒ publishing arm of Lexis-Nexis Group and the
publications available through a recently announced, long-term alliance with Tax Analysts.
