Leading Financial Planner Deena Katz To Head CCH Journal Of Retirement Planning
(RIVERWOODS, ILL., July 10, 2000) CCH INCORPORATED (CCH), a leading provider of tax information, services and software, today announced that internationally recognized financial planner and author Deena Katz, CFP, has been named editor in chief of the Journal of Retirement Planning. The CCH Journal of Retirement Planning is a popular bimonthly periodical dedicated entirely to the complex issues surrounding retirement planning.
Katz has been a member of the Journal’s advisory board since its inception in 1998. She has served as president of the firm Evensky, Brown & Katz for more than a decade and was recently named executive vice president of the Evensky Group Private Family Offices.
Katz is the author of Deena Katz on Practice Management, the leading text on management of a financial services business, as well as the books Planning for Long Term Care Needs and Taking Charge of Your Retirement, as well as numerous articles in professional journals. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars and has appeared as a finance expert on many television, radio and Internet programs. Katz has been cited as one of the most influential people in accounting three years running by Accounting Today magazine.
Katz succeeds Ross Levin, the Journal’s founding editor, who announced in the May-June issue that he was choosing to give up a number of professional responsibilities, including the editorship.
"While we are sorry to see Ross leave, Deena is an exceptionally well-qualified successor who will build on the strong foundation that Ross has set," said Karen Notaro of CCH, managing editor of the Journal.
