New CCH Web Site Showcases Wide Range Of Business And Finance Products, Customer Services

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., November 5, 1999) – The full array of banking, business, insurance and securities related products from the Business and Finance division of CCH INCORPORATED (CCH), a leading provider of business law information for research, planning and compliance, can now be found at one location on the world wide web at http://business.cch.com. The newly revamped site brings together the complete library of CCH business offerings – including NILS Publishing, Telecommunications Reports International, Inc. and Bankers Systems, Inc. – news, special features and customer ordering and service options.

CCH Business and Finance currently publishes over 120 titles in print and electronic formats, including the Internet. The group’s expert staff of legal analysts monitors multiple government, corporate and media sources to track, report, explain and analyze the latest legislative information and industry trends.

The site provides fast access to CCH’s unparalleled coverage in a wide range of business-related fields, as well as business news, according to Christopher Ainsley, publisher for the Business and Finance division.

"We’ve covered the federal banking system since the establishment of the Federal Reserve in 1914 and the Securities and Exchange Commission since its creation, as well. Recently, we’ve dramatically expanded our business coverage with the acquisition of NILS in the area of insurance, Bankers Systems, Inc. in bank compliance and Telecommunications Reports International, Inc., the leading source of news and analysis for telecommunications. Now, in line with CCH’s leadership on the Internet, we’ve created a web site that puts all of our business products under one electronic roof and makes information and services extremely easy to find and use."

Pages Showcase Products, News, Links

Comprehensive and easy to use, the main page for CCH Business and Finance – http://business.cch.com – is a jumping-off point for the wide range of CCH product offerings and for customer support services. Tabs down the side of the main page clearly identify the range of product offerings and lead to additional pages for different CCH portfolios:

    • Banking and Finance
    • Business and Transportation
    • Capital Changes
    • Credit Regulations
    • Government Contracts
    • Information Technology
    • Insurance and Tort Law
    • International
    • Public Utility and Telecom
    • Securities Law
    • Trade Regulations

At each portfolio page, visitors can quickly learn the overall scope of CCH coverage, briefly review featured products and services and pull up complete product listings.

In addition to product information, visitors to the banking, government contracts and public utility/telecom pages will find related news stories. The government contracts and securities pages have extensive links to related web sites of interest to professionals in these fields.

Customer Services

In addition to showcasing products, the Business and Finance site gives CCH customers an opportunity to access a range of customer services for both electronic and print subscriptions.

Through e-mail, CCH customers can resolve billing issues, track shipments, resolve research issues, troubleshoot software installation and update customer information – for example, making an address change. Customers can also request replacement pages for their loose-leaf print subscriptions through a special page at the web site.

"The Internet and e-mail enable our customers to communicate with CCH Customer Service and resolve problems when and where they want," Ainsley noted.
