New Book From CCH Spells Out Implications Of The Euro For U.S. Businesses

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., June 28, 1999) – The introduction of a new common currency in Europe has important ramifications for U.S businesses, according to CCH INCORPORATED, a leading provider of business and regulatory law information. The Euro: Implications for U.S. Compliance and Business, a 64-page soft cover book from CCH, sorts out the many regulatory and legal issues posed by the new transnational monetary denomination.

The Euro examines the impact of the new currency in the compliance areas of securities, banking and tax. It explores issues such as accounting, disclosure and continuity of contract, especially with regard to derivatives. The special ways in which the euro will affect auditors, broker-dealers, transfer agents, investment companies, banks and investment advisers are all addressed.

Also included in The Euro are the text of SEC Staff Legal Bulletin No. 6, Federal Reserve Board Supervision and Regulation Letter 98-16 and a glossary of terms.
