Hensley Named President, CEO Of
CCH INCORPORATED, New COO, Publisher For Tax Group

(CHICAGO, March 12, 1999) Wolters Kluwer
U.S. said today that it has named Rebecca Karnes Hensley
as president and CEO of CCH INCORPORATED (CCH),
Riverwoods, IL, a leading provider of tax and business
law information and software. In addition, the publishing
company said Hugo Van haecke will join CCH as chief
operating officer, and that it has appointed Kevin L.
Robert as publisher, CCH Federal and State Tax group.
Hensley is currently publisher of the CCH Federal and
State Tax (FAST) group. She will succeed John R. Marozsan
who, as announced earlier, will retire June 30, 1999,
after a 24-year career with Wolters Kluwer (WK).
"Becky brings a wealth of industry experience to
her new position at CCH," said Hugh J. Yarrington, a
member of the Wolters Kluwer nv executive board and
president, Wolters Kluwer U.S. "Her extensive
background in publishing management, electronic product
development, and editorial content management ensures CCH
will remain one of the most successful and respected
leaders in professional publishing."
Hensley, an attorney, brings a 26-year career in
professional legal publishing to the CEO position at
CCH. As publisher of the FAST group, she directed
the company's largest business unit, comprised of more
than 150 print and electronic products covering federal,
state, and international taxation.
In addition, she was head of the companys
Editorial Resource Center where she was responsible for
content quality, electronic production, practice system
development, workflow, and professional development.
Before joining CCH in 1994, Hensley held a number of
reporting, editorial, and management positions, including
Executive Editor of Human Resources and Labor Products
with The Bureau of National Affairs, Inc., a legal and
regulatory publishing company in Washington, D.C.
A resident of Lake Forest, IL, she holds
bachelors and masters degrees from George
Washington University and a JD degree from Georgetown
University.
Van haecke currently is chief financial officer for
Wolters Kluwer Nederlands, a Deventer, Holland-based
publisher of books and materials on a wide range of
topics, including healthcare, science, law, social
sciences, and business management.
In his 25-year career with Wolters Kluwer, Van haecke
has served in a number of financial and operating
management positions throughout the company's European
publishing units, including Stanley Thornes Ltd, Kluwer
Belgium, and IPSOA Editore Srl. A native of Belgium, he
studied business economics at the University of Antwerp.
Robert is an 18-year veteran of CCH. In his current
position as director of sales and marketing for
CCHs tax unit, hes responsible for the
marketing of all print and electronic tax products, as
well as field and inside sales activities. Prior to
joining the FAST group, he was head of Customer Service
for the company, overseeing customer service operations,
product support, and order management.
Robert began his CCH career with the companys
tax compliance unit, the leading provider of tax
preparation software for accounting professionals. There,
he held several sales and marketing management positions,
including vice president of marketing.
He earned an MBA from Pepperdine University and his
bachelor's degree from the University of New Orleans. He
is a resident of Lake Forest, IL.
