Accounting Today’s “Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting”

Mike Sabbatis, President of CCH and Jeff Gramlich, President of CCH Small Firm Services, have been named to Accounting Today’s “Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting” for 2010. The annual list encompasses the top professionals who have an active hand in shaping the current and future direction of accounting.

Accounting Today selected this group of thought leaders and change-makers in the profession that includes top executives, CPAs, regulators, educators, attorneys, as well as President Obama. The magazine noted that the 2010 list involved a “whittling down of several hundred deserving nominees.”

Accounting Today recognized Sabbatis for leading the development of new tools for tax and accounting professionals, including the launch of the powerful IntelliConnect® platform. Gramlich was honored for building CCH SFS into a position of leadership through his introduction of cutting-edge tax technology to the accounting profession’s small practitioners.

Sabbatis has been recognized by Accounting Today in previous years, while Gramlich joins the list for the first time this year.

The CPA Technology Advisor’s “Top 40 under 40”

The annual “40 Under 40” list of rising stars in the tax and accounting field, published by The CPA Technology Advisor, has selected Tracy Mortenson, CCH Director of Editorial – Federal & State Tax; Tanya Rose, CCH Director of Product Management – Tax Solution Set; and Brian Steinert, CCH Director of Product Management – Workflow Solutions as top young performers in the profession for 2010.

Mortensen, a 10-year veteran at CCH, has supervised numerous projects that led to new product launches, research publications analyzing new federal legislation within hours of passage and helping customers gain greater understanding of changes in tax and accounting laws. She also drove continued enhancements to the IntelliConnect platform in 2010. This marks her fifth consecutive year on the “40 Under 40” list.

Rose, a nine-year employee of CCH, currently oversees product development for CCH’s Tax Solutions which includes the IntelliConnect research platform as well as ProSystem fx® Tax. This is Rose’s second year to make the list.

Steinert, a four-time “40 Under 40” honoree, has helped set the overall strategic vision and implementation for CCH workflow products, including those in the ProSystem fx Suite in a SaaS environment. His recent contributions include leading the launch of the SaaS ProSystem fx Document and Portal solutions, as well as CCH KnowledgeConnect. Steinert is also recognized as a key industry opinion leader.
