2010 CCH User Conference Creates Connections, Results for Tax and Accounting Professionals

4 Days of Learning Delivers 365 Days of Improved Performance, Productivity

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., June 17, 2010) – The 2010 CCH User Conference for tax and accounting professionals will take place November 7-10 at the JW Marriott® Orlando Grande Lakes® in Orlando, Florida. This one-of-a-kind event provides a concentrated opportunity for professionals to connect with their peers, explore industry trends, innovate with new technologies and gain new knowledge, insights and ideas to take back to their firms. CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business is a leading provider of tax, accounting and audit information, software and services (CCHGroup.com).

“The CCH User Conference is the premier event of its kind,” said CCH Vice President of Sales Ray Barlow. “It’s 4 days of learning and networking that delivers 365 days of improved performance, productivity and profitability. There’s no better way to connect with essential information, education and expertise than this single Conference.”

A Learning Community for Professionals

The event brings together at one time, in one place, a wealth of information, insights and solutions and provides access to peers from top-performing firms of all sizes. Conference attendees will be part of a community of leading professionals sharing real-life best practices.

“The theme of this year’s conference is ‘CCH Connections.’ We’re focused on attendees getting connected with their peers; connecting applications to streamline workflow and knowledge sharing; connecting remotely to work; and connecting with CCH executives and teams to help shape new products and enhancements,” said Barlow.

Conference Overview

The CCH User Conference offers a full program of CPE-accredited sessions to help attendees meet their professional needs and take full advantage of the latest information and technology. Sessions range from interactive lectures to hands-on workshops and are organized on five tracks: Accounting & Audit; Management; Tax; Technology; and General. Attendees can choose from a variety of classes and workshops to create the curriculum best suited to their needs.

Conference highlights include:

  • Keynote addresses from industry leaders on topics vital to every tax and accounting professional, including leadership, innovation and technology;
  • CPE-accredited sessions and discussions on business issues and strategies;
  • Interactive roundtable discussions on hot topics;
  • Peer-to-peer networking sessions, where attendees share best practices;
  • Showcases featuring integrated software and research applications;
  • Informative sessions to help attendees get the most out of new CCH product features, with product update sessions and hands-on training; and more.

Sessions, Keynote Speakers, Set the Standard

Since the inaugural event in 2005, CCH has built on each year’s event to deliver highly successful conferences. In addition to this year’s outstanding programming – with the majority of 90+ classes as new sessions in 2010 – the conference will also feature one of the greatest speakers in the U.S. today: Legendary Notre Dame football coach Lou Holtz. An inspiring and memorable keynote speaker, Holtz will discuss how to overcome seemingly impossible challenges by setting goals and working to achieve them.

The conference will also feature Tom Koulopoulos, a leading expert on innovation, globalization and information technology, who is a business author and one of the industry’s most influential consultants. In his book, “The Innovation Zone,” Koulopoulos explores the methods, tools and behaviors needed to develop innovation as a core competency. Additional keynote speakers include Kevin Robert, CEO of Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting, the global leader in serving tax and accounting professionals; and Mike Sabbatis, President and CEO, CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business, who heads all of CCH’s operations in North America. These leading industry executives will discuss with attendees their insights into the profession and share where CCH is headed.
