Latest Version of CCH Sword Streamlines Risk Assessments

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., July 15, 2009) – CCH Sword® has released the latest version of its award-winning Enterprise Risk Management system with a major upgrade to the risk and control assessment module. The module now enables an organization that has varying risk assessment programs – such as operational risk, IT risk, compliance, audit and more – to carry out some or all of the assessments in one process, reducing the time and effort required by the business assessors. CCH Sword is a leading developer and supplier of operational risk control solutions to the global financial services sector and a part of CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business.

“Business staff these days are often overloaded with risk and control assessments and questionnaires. While these assessments are important, they should be coordinated and streamlined,” said Richard Pike, Product Director of CCH Sword. “Our clients asked us to provide them with a tool that enables this streamlining so that the efficiency of risk and control assessments is enhanced without limiting their effectiveness. Our world-class risk and control assessment IT platform greatly enhances our clients’ data collection and reporting systems, and also enables them to limit the business interruption caused by risk and compliance programs.”

CCH Sword’s powerful risk and control assessment tool helps companies visualize risks, analyze trends and predict loss outcomes. The assessor is provided with details of events relevant to their risk and control environment including recent tests, recent incidents, recent audit findings and relevant indicators.

Other additions in this new version include enhancements to the control testing and incident recording tools and the addition of a risk manager’s workbench that shows the status of risks, incidents, issues and control tests for each business unit.
