CCH ProSystem fx Scan with AutoFlow Technology™ Streamlines Return Preparation

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., August 4, 2008) – This coming tax season, firms using ProSystem fx Scan and ProSystem fx Tax from CCH can take advantage of AutoFlow Technology™ to speed tax preparation and slash costs. Information will flow automatically from scanned 1040 source documents to the client’s tax return. ProSystem fx Scan v4.0 with AutoFlow Technology extracts information from selected scanned source documents used to prepare Forms 1040, facilitates verification of the data and imports it directly into ProSystem fx Tax.

Extractable Forms

Available in December 2008, Scan v4.0 with AutoFlow Technology will extract data from the following forms for importation into ProSystem fx Tax:

Forms K1-1065, K1-1041 and K1-1120S and Combined Statements are also currently under development.

Pay Per Return

AutoFlow Technology is built into every copy of Scan v4.0, and will be available for use on a per-return basis via the existing return authorization request process. Users can also buy authorizations at a substantial discount in advance of tax season. One authorization is used per 1040 return — regardless of how many source documents a client brings in, how many times scans are performed for a return or how much 1040 data is extracted.
