CCH ProSystem fx Document Wins 2008 Tax and Accounting Technology Innovation Award

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., June 13, 2008) – CCH ProSystem fx Document, with E-mail Management, was awarded The CPA Technology Advisor’s Tax and Accounting Technology Innovation Award on June 12, 2008. CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business is a leading provider of tax, accounting and audit information, software and services (CCHGroup.com).

CCH ProSystem fx Document was one of five award winners. This is the fourth time a CCH product has been honored with the prestigious award.

“We’re very excited to be recognized for our ongoing commitment to innovation,” said CCH President Mike Sabbatis. “As a strategic partner to our customers, CCH is committed to providing professionals with new and transforming technology that enhances their productivity and efficiency.”

CCH winners in previous years include CCH ProSystem fx Scan, ProSystem fx Engagement and CCH@Hand.

The Innovation Awards are sponsored by The CPA Technology Advisor to recognize innovative developments in technologies that benefit the tax and accounting profession, as well as significant advancements in existing technologies. The awards were announced by Gregory L. LaFollette, CPA, CITP, Executive Editor of The CPA Technology Advisor, at the 2008 California Accounting & Business Show on June 12.

“The movement toward the paperless accounting and tax practice, which professionals have been undertaking for nearly a decade is well on its way to completion,” LaFollette said. “The next step in the continuing evolution of the professional digital environment is rethinking workflow processes to maximize productivity.”

About CCH ProSystem fx Document with E-mail Management

“The new e-mail management capability of ProSystem fx Document is a good example of the qualities the Tax and Accounting Technology Innovation Awards honored this year – it approaches workflow processes with the goal of streamlining tasks and management functions,” said LaFollette.

ProSystem fx Document helps firms better manage their e-mail by allowing them to move client communication from individuals’ inboxes to a secure server where it is accessible by multiple people in the firm .  It brings the ability to drag-and-drop e-mails directly to a client list in Microsoft® Outlook, and enhances collaboration within the firm by making selected client e-mails accessible to everyone.

In addition, ProSystem fx Document’s powerful management functions ensure that e-mails are subject to firm-wide document storage and retention rules, providing risk mitigation and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements.

“Paperless technology such as ProSystem fx Document supports the streamlined workflows, shared knowledge and enhanced productivity that are essential as firms evolve into the intelligent businesses that can meet the challenges of today and tomorrow,” said Sabbatis.

Earlier this year, ProSystem fx Document ASP, a secure platform where documents are hosted by CCH, was awarded the 2008 Software & Information Industry Association CODiE Award in the category of Best Document Management Solution.
