MediRegs® Partners with Strategic Management for Health Care Compliance Risk Management

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., January 24, 2008) – MediRegs, a leading provider of specialized health care compliance and reimbursement research products and workflow tools, is partnering with Strategic Management (SM), a leading health care management consulting firm, to deliver the best-in-class compliance risk assessment and management to health care organizations. MediRegs is a part of Wolters Kluwer Law & Business.

Under the partnership, SM will employ the MediRegs® ComplyTrackSuite of software tools in its risk assessment engagements, advise MediRegs clients on effectively using ComplyTrack and help advance MediRegs’ solutions. ComplyTrack allows health care professionals to audit, investigate, manage, assess and mitigate compliance and enterprise risk through an automated enterprise toolset.

“Health care organizations are realizing that with improved data collection and scrutiny boards, communities and the government know much more than ever about an organization’s performance and expect increased attention to the wide spectrum of areas that can open them to risk,” said Steve LeFar, head of the MediRegs group. “Our partnership with SM allows organizations to access both a proven, powerful software tool and the insight of experts who know precisely what government auditors and executive boards are looking for and how to frame a compliance program and enterprise risk assessment.”

ComplyTrack is a great tool for organizing risk assessments and makes even the most experienced compliance officers and consultants more efficient and effective,” said Richard Kusserow, Founder and CEO of Strategic Management and former Inspector General for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. “Our firm is using ComplyTrack and recommending it to our clients as a way to keep up to date on the ever changing regulatory environment and to aid in quicker resolution of potential compliance issues.”
