CCH Announces McGovern As Vice President, Tax and Accounting Publishing

(RIVERWOODS, ILL. July 24, 2007) – CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business announced today that Gene McGovern has joined the company as Vice President of Tax and Accounting Publishing. CCH is a leading provider of tax, audit and accounting information, software and services (CCHGroup.com) and is part of Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting.

As Vice President of Tax and Accounting Publishing, McGovern will further advance CCH’s strategy to provide integrated workflow solutions to tax and accounting professionals, leveraging the company’s authoritative content and software resources to enhance professionals’ productivity and accuracy. McGovern will report to CCH President Mike Sabbatis.

McGovern joins CCH with 30 years of legal and business publishing experience. Most recently, he was CEO of Marquis Who’s Who LLC. Previously, he held leadership positions with LexisNexis, including Senior Vice President of Operations and Editorial, North American Legal Markets Division, where he led editorial, publishing and customer operations for legal content. He also served as Senior Vice President, Operations, North American Legal Markets Division and Vice President of Publishing for LexisNexis. Earlier in his career, McGovern had been with Matthew Bender & Company, where his editorial positions included serving as Vice President, Legal Publishing.

McGovern holds a B.A. from Yale University, New Haven, Conn., and an M.B.A. in taxation from New York University.

McGovern replaces Catherine Wolfe who was named Wolters Kluwer U.K. CEO earlier this year. McGovern will be based in CCH’s Riverwoods headquarters.
