Wolters Kluwer Law & Business Acquires MediRegs

Acquisition Advances CCH as Leader in Health Care Compliance and Reimbursement Integrated Solutions

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., June 15, 2007) – Wolters Kluwer Law & Business announced today that it has acquired MediRegs and that the company’s health care research database services and compliance software will become part of the unit’s Business Compliance group. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Wolters Kluwer Law & Business is a leading provider of specialized health care compliance and reimbursement research products and workflow tools under the CCH brand name. Its flagship products include the CCH Medicare and Medicaid Guide and the CCH ChargeMaster Comply health care reimbursement tool.

MediRegs, based in Wellesley, Mass., provides integrated health care compliance content and software solutions to health care, higher education, life sciences and pharmaceutical professionals and professional services customers, including those in accounting, law and consulting. The company’s products include ComplyTrack software that allows health care professionals to audit, investigate, manage, assess and mitigate compliance and enterprise risk through an automated enterprise toolset.

“With this acquisition, we are combining market-leading CCH content with the MediRegs compliance software. This will allow us to provide health compliance and reimbursement professionals with an authoritative source for integrated health care compliance workflow solutions to ease the compliance burden,” said Vice President of Business Compliance, Paul Gibson, Wolters Kluwer Law & Business.

The addition of MediRegs services and software to CCH’s health care compliance portfolio also advances CCH’s leadership in this specialty area, establishing CCH as a source of comprehensive integrated health care compliance solutions.

“We are excited to be part of the CCH and Wolters Kluwer family. We knew that in order to continue the growth and expansion of the MediRegs line of products, we had to join a company with the depth, breadth and commitment to the compliance and reimbursement market that CCH and Wolters Kluwer have,” said MediRegs President Steve Lefar, who will join the Wolters Kluwer Law & Business group and continue to guide the growth and strategic development of the MediRegs product line. “Wolters Kluwer and MediRegs together are the perfect marriage of Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance Tools with the underlying regulatory and compliance content necessary to deliver a unique solution to the market.”
