CCH Offers Briefing on Military Family Tax Relief Act

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., November 7, 2003) -- Against the daily news backdrop of U.S. troops engaged in operations overseas, Congress on November 5 passed a military tax relief bill. The Military Family Tax Relief Act of 2003 targets relief to members of the U.S. Armed Forces serving in Iraq and other areas. The total cost of the bill is estimated at $1.2 billion over the next 10 years, and is paid for by higher custom fees.  President Bush is expected to sign the bill on or before Veterans' Day on November 11.
