CCH Supplying Securities, Tax Primary Sources To Cep Institute

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., September 27, 2002) – CCH INCORPORATED (CCH), a leading provider of securities law information and compliance software, has been chosen to supply primary source materials in convenient book form for Santa Clara University’s Certified Equity Professional (CEP) Institute. CEP is the professional certification for equity compensation practitioners. Selected Securities and Tax Sources for Equity Compensation Professionals draws on CCH’s wealth of statutory, regulatory and administrative documents to give readers a solid grounding in the laws governing the use of stock in executive and employee compensation plans.

"We’re very pleased to have formed this new relationship with the CEP Institute," said Peter Berkery, Associate Publisher of the CCH Securities Group. "It capitalizes on CCH’s strength as a source of authoritative materials in a range of fields – namely, taxation and securities. We look forward to expanding on this relationship with the Institute and this role in educating equity professionals."

Includes Securities, Tax Sources

The first part of the 536-page Selected Securities and Tax Sources for Equity Compensation Professionals contains sections of the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, regulations under the two Acts, items under Regulation S-K, Federal Reserve regulations under the Securities Exchange Act and relevant SEC releases. The second part contains relevant sections of the Internal Revenue Code, regulations and IRS releases.

"This collection of primary source material is likely to be referred to again and again by equity compensation professionals in their ongoing work, long after they have completed the Institute’s courses and gained certification," Berkery noted.
