Wolters Kluwer North America Acquires National Media Technologies, Inc.

Securities Filing Services Company Will Become Part of CCH INCORPORATED

(CHICAGO, February 21, 2002) – Wolters Kluwer North America said today that it has acquired National Media Technologies, Inc. (NMT), New York, NY, a provider of digital document conversion and filing services for securities compliance. NMT (natlmedia.com) will become part of CCH INCORPORATED (CCH), Riverwoods, Ill., a leading provider of tax, securities and business law information and software, and a Wolters Kluwer North America company (cch.com). Terms of the sale were not released.

NMT is best known for its document service bureau, which handles all aspects of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) legal filings. Customers can place, receive and monitor orders via the NMT website, and also access and complete some SEC forms online. Clients include Fortune 500 companies, law firms, financial printers, accounting firms, mutual funds and real estate companies.

NMT will become part of CCH’s Business and Finance Group (business.cch.com), which also manages dTech, a provider of document filing software, including EDGAR Ease, the market leading software for compiling and submitting EDGAR filings to the SEC. With both NMT and EDGAR Ease, CCH will offer a comprehensive suite of software and online services for securities compliance. This acquisition further strengthens CCH’s position as the leading provider of comprehensive research information services, compliance-focused desktop solutions and online tools that guide and assist legal and business professionals in understanding, applying and complying with U.S. securities laws and regulations.

National Media Technologies had 2001 fiscal year revenues of approximately $5.4 million and employs approximately 40 people. NMT was founded in 1996 as an independent filing agent in response to the SEC’s adoption of EDGAR as its electronic filing system. Prior to this acquisition, NMT was a closely held New York corporation with offices in New York and Boston.
