Customization Is Key To CCH’s New SEC Internet Library

(RIVERWOODS, ILL., March 30, 2000) – Securities professionals can now create and customize their own securities library, leveraging the power of the Internet and comprehensive, authoritative securities law information and expertise from CCH INCORPORATED (CCH). With this new option, CCH Securities Internet Library subscribers can pick and choose from CCH’s extensive line of securities products to build a library tailored to meet their specific needs for federal and state information, news and analysis. In addition, with the new customized library, customers realize the added advantages of preferred product pricing and new fixed-rate user fees. (To order, or for more information, contact your CCH sales representative at 888-224-7377, or call 1-800-449-6435.)

"The CCH Securities Internet Library supports CCH's ongoing, dynamic approach to bringing customized, easy-to-use information and tools to professionals," said Sharon Kube, CCH securities marketing manager.

"Over four generations of attorneys and other securities professionals have relied on CCH as the leading provider of securities law information. Now, we’re leading the way again, asking each customer to tell us exactly what they need, and delivering it to them via CCH’s state-of-the-art Internet technology."

Pick and Choose from CCH’s Comprehensive Coverage

With the CCH Securities Internet Library, customers can select up to 15 CCH securities products for their personal library. And, each component of the library is updated regularly, offering timely information on new developments.

Library product selections cover the complete spectrum of securities topics and materials. Products include CCH’s flagship Federal Securities Law Reporter, and the authoritative Blue Sky Reporter, as well as the CCH Blue Sky Desk Reference—a brand new resource that contains the most referenced materials from the Blue Sky Reporter.

Other CCH products that customers can choose from to create their own library include: Corporate Secretary’s Guide; SEC Accounting Rules; Accountants’ SEC Practice Manual; SEC Docket; SEC No-Action Letters; Securities Transfer Guide; Uniform Limited Offering Exemption Compliance Guide; U.S. Securities Cases Archive; NASD Manual; NASAA Current Statements of Policy; MSRB Manual; Commodity Futures Law Reports; a wide range of Exchange Guides; and more.

Pricing Makes Any Size Library, Any Number of Users, Affordable

Customers receive reduced pricing on products as they build. When three to fifteen products are ordered to create a library, the customer saves on the price of each product. The savings begin with three products and increase for four, five and six to fifteen Internet products.

Each library is offered with two user IDs. For libraries including three or more products, additional users can be added for a fixed rate of just $300 per person.

CCH Internet—Faster, Smarter, Easier

The CCH Securities Internet Library is offered on the CCH InternetSM Research NetWork™, which has set new industry standards for intuitive, easy-to-use Internet products.

CCH Internet products feature the most advanced and easy-to-use research tools available today, with CCH’s exclusive two-step search, navigational tools and fast loading.

"We believe that our two-step searching offers the fastest research on the Internet," said Kube.

Step one is to check one or more publications on a screen to be searched. It’s possible to drill down into each publication to further target a search if desired. Step two is to type in the search terms on the very same screen used to target the search. The user no longer has to move to a separate search screen, which saves time and makes the entire research session flow more smoothly.

In addition to the two-step search feature, navigation and command buttons are now "context sensitive," appearing on the screens only where they are needed. This makes the CCH Internet service even easy to learn and eliminates the possibility of issuing useless commands by mistake.

The speed and directness of two-step searching and context sensitive tools are supplemented by other features CCH has introduced to improve and speed research:

From anywhere within a document, enter a free-form citation search, hide the document navigation bar or call up the toolbar;

  • Add multiple documents – all at once – to the Keep List;
  • Review search results faster now that viewed documents appear in a different color;
  • Print all or selected documents right from the Search Results List.
